Endings and Beginnings

I took this photo last night from my back deck.  Pure, unedited, natural light.  The process of the day ending is so beautiful to me.  I also love the process of the day beginning.  As I walked through my house just now, it struck me how peaceful the light from sun rising looks through my windows.  How the softness of the early light makes everything all the more lovely.  I also noticed the smells of morning ... coffee brewing, bread baking in the oven ... hairspray, perfume filtering through the house ... and then there's the pitter patter of little feet starting to move about.

Today is my anniversary.

Today is the ending of another year of marriage and the beginning of a new one.

I am blessed to be married.  I am blessed to have received a kiss at 4:54 this morning as Richard was walking out the door.  I am blessed and I am thankful.
I will enjoy this day and give thanks to the Lord who gave it to me.
