We have two days left of Richard's leave. Of course we won't accomplish everything I listed out that needed accomplishing, but we've accomplished a lot. For starters, in the last two days nine pieces of furniture have been painted. NINE. We've not had the chance to touch up the girl's furniture in a very long time. It was much overdue and I can't tell you how much of an improvement a fresh, new coat of paint makes. We used Martha Stewart's line and it has the lowest chemical content, so we were able to paint the furniture in the girl's rooms and there is absolutely no smell. Technology is a wonderful thing:).
Richard's mom also stopped by for a little visit today with the girls. We don't get to see her all that much (maybe two days out of the year), so the girls eat up their time with her.
I'm not one for words tonight. All I want to do is curl up in bed! Between the a/c units needing repair, then the washing machine quitting, we've had a daughter sick with elevated allergies and a strep-like virus for the past three weeks. Hanson Ellis was first, then it was Kate
Kate also got a different viral infection and Olivia is teething. We are exhausted. I am exhausted.
What I would do for a little get a way. Just a small one. Richard mentioned to me that I never dress up anymore. No, I don't, and I'm really too tired to care at this point. I've been in complete survival mode for longer than I can remember.
Sometimes I wonder if it'll ever end and I wonder how in the world I'm going to incorporate school in just a few days.
But God is more than good, and I know He is providing now and will continue to do so.
I know some of you are familiar with Urban Grace blog. For those of you who are not, check out this post. It refueled my future dreams tank today. I love, love this house. It is nice to have a little something completely random to take your mind off what's staring you in the face.
To God be the Glory.
Goodnight!
Oh...they don't look good at all. Poor sweet babies! Love the little snuggle stuffed pig. Looks like its very loved!

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that I hope everyone is on the mend! And, what a precious picture with Grandma.....you have a beautiful family, MK! <>
I hope the girls are feeling better soon. I know that is more stressful when your husband is away. And I totally feel like I am in survival mode a lot of the time and I only have two kids! I especially feel like that when hubby is out of town. Mine comes home again in a few more hours. Thanks goodness. Hang in there MK!
ReplyDeletep.s. NINE pieces of furniture? That's a lot!!
