Another day I'm thankful for my camera.
Everyone of the trees you see in these photos are gone. Everyone.
This neighborhood no longer exists.
This is my parents house in Alberta City, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Or I guess it should say it was.
My brother went down today and I'll post pictures when I get them, although he said the old saying that pictures don't do it justice completely rings true.
I am thankful Momma and Daddy are alive, but Daddy's exhausted and Momma is in the ER waiting, hoping to be admitted ... although the rooms are full and beyond overloaded.
My families story is just one of countless out there.
May our hearts be humbled, but may our spirits not be downcast.
At this time I pray that all who acknowledge Christ may "shine like lights" so that the world may "see your good deeds and glorify your father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
And may the peace of God be with all who have lost.
Being military we have few "constants" in our life.
Gran's house was one of them for the girls and me.
We will miss it, but we will not forget it.
MK...I am so sorry to hear about your parents' house.....praying for all those that have been affected by those horrible storms....
