Our Morale Booster

It was nice outside tonight.  Not so humid and I know I felt a coolness in some of the breezes.  The girls played on the swing set and rolled down the hills over and over and over and over again.  How good for my soul to hear them giggling.  How absolutely good!

Richard took up the watering for me so that I could just enjoy them for a minute.  Olivia detected water was on in the front and decided to make contact.  I just had to grab my camera.  Children are great at reminding us to seek out joy and not hesitate to embrace it.  Children are great morale boosters:).

(oh and the lack of green in the grass ... that's another post I'm working on, so just excuse for now)

and my little lu ... I'm so glad you're still one ...

even if it is just for a little while longer

This Week's Sweet Shot

I think this might be my fourth week in a row at linking up here for Sweet Shot Tuesday.  If you haven't checked out Darcy's blog ... Beautiful & Sweet Shot Tuesday

One of my favorite things to do while at Camp Davenport is to go for long walks.  It doesn't matter what time of day we go, it is always just such a treat to go and be engulfed by the quiet around.

This trip, Richard and I were able to get away alone a couple of mornings.  One morning we ran and were the only ones out besides the deer, horses and wild rabbits.  I knew the next outing my camera needed to come along:).  So the next day we just walked, talked, listened and captured the below images.   (and of course there were no deer this morning or horses or rabbits ... only a centipede and a bullfrog that was so still we wondered if it were alive!!).

It is nice being home, but I would love just one more walk down these roads ...

A Moment Captured

One of my favorite things to do is just grab my camera and capture what the girls are doing right then. Here are Kate and Olivia as I found them when I went to get them for lunch.
